"Portraits in Motion"
Three student choreographers were tasked to select a photograph from the New York Times' collection, 'Year in Review.' The gallery reflects the world's tribulations and victories of 2023.
This Project, originally created, designed, and executed by one of the founding teachers here at Terrell Dance, Ms. Ariel, I thought it was crucial to bring this project back to life. It is so important that we take moments to reflect and process. Our students at Terrell do this frequently in their Humanities classes with literature, and in dance we apply this in our composition class, reflecting on what is happening in the world today. They have created such beautiful works through research, passion, and execution.
All pieces were student-produced, cast, rehearsed, filmed, and edited. I hope you all enjoy!
